Boron 8

Last modification: 1996/3/26,4/24,2001/6/12

This directory contains the results of HF calculations for Boron 8:
HF calculations were done with the Skyrme S3, SG2, and SkM* forces
in the Catresian-mesh representation with mesh size=0.5fm
and box=0.5fm*(23,23,24)*8 ("8" is for the D_{2h} symmetry).

Explanation of the columns of the above table:
**forces**
S3 = SIII force, SG2 = SGII force, SkM* = SkM* force
**shapes**
P= Prolate solution, O = Oblate solution
**ENERGY : in MeV**
**Q : quadrupole moment (fm^2)**
**quadrupole deformation parameters**
e2_t   := 3* <2* z^2 -x^2 - y^2>_(mass) / 4*< r^2 >_(mass)
e2_P   := 3* <2* z^2 -x^2 - y^2>_(proton) / 4*< r^2 >_(proton)
e2_N   := 3* <2* z^2 -x^2 - y^2>_(neutron) / 4*< r^2 >_(neutron)
**r.m.s. radii (fm)**
r_tot  := sqrt( < r^2 >_(nucleon) /A )
r_p    := sqrt( < r^2 >_(proton) / Z )
r_n    := sqrt( < r^2 >_(neutron) / N )
